BNP Paribas Factor appoints its new Managing Director for its Portugal subsidiary

As managing director of BNP Paribas Factor, the unit of the BNP Paribas Group that specialises in factoring, Luís Pina Augusto will be responsible for developing the company’s business and operations, continuing its growth strategy in Portugal and directly managing a team of 32 people. This is by no means the first challenging role within the company to be taken by Luís Pina Augusto, who studied Economics at the Universidade Nova de Lisbon with an MBA in Finance. The new managing director of the factoring unit has until now led the banking business development team with multinational companies of BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking, and previously also served as director of the Business Centre of BNP Paribas Fortis.

With a long career path linked to processes for creating financing for international companies, Luís Pina Augusto says his focus will be on « leading a team of winners, capable of getting BNP Paribas Factor a podium position among factoring companies in Portugal ».
